The UV125 is the 16” straight replacement lamp for Abatement Technologies, Inc.’s CAP100-UV and CAP300-UV1 Central Air Purification systems.

The UV125 utilizes UVGI (Ultraviolet Germicidal Irradiation) technology to actively “kill” bacteria and viruses by destroying their DNA. UVGI is also a part of the spectrum of electromagnetic energy generated by the sun.

The manufacturer recommends you change your UVGI long-life quartz lamp after 9000 hours (1 year) of use under normal operating conditions.

The UV125 does NOT generate any ozone output. If you own a CAP100-UVP or a CAP300-UVP1 Central Air Purification system that utilizes trivalent oxygen (ozone) technology you will want to purchase the UVP125 replacement lamp.

In addition to UVGI, the UVP125 “UtraViolight Plus” lamp also produces a controlled amount of trivalent oxygen (Ozone) via an oxidation reaction known as Photolysis. Photolysis breaks down volatile organic compounds (VOC’s), and attacks mold cell structures to prevent sporulation. Ozone also breaks down and destroys unpleasant odors.
